We had the red cross competition last week and Apollo helped us. We did really well. We had some injured people (but not for real) and we mended them.

Apollo's busy week
APOLLO BY ME
On Monday morning a teacher
gave me a cute little dolphin called Apollo. Because I was reading the
books all 9 years of my primary schooling for reading badge I could go with my
schoolmates on a trip in Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. Apollo of course
went with me. It was a sunny day and we had great time. Apollo was the number
one attraction. People were looking at me when I was walking down the streets
with him but I was very proud because I had new friend from Greece. At the end
of a long day I and Apollo were very tired so we fell asleep immediately when
we arrived home.
Next morning all singers from
our school, including Apollo, went for 2-day preparation because of a
competition on Thursday. We went in a town near us by bus. There we were singing
most of time, but at the evenings we were playing games, listening to music,
dancing etc. Apollo was all the time with us. Next day we were singing again
till lunch and then we could go to a swimming pool. Apollo unfortunately didn't
go into pool. :) We came home at 7 o' clock and this day I and Apollo
went to sleep very early too because we were exhausted. On Thursday it was a
normal day at school and after the competition with our choir was held. We were
singing without mistakes and we got a lot of compliments. Apollo was all
the time with my mum between the viewers. I think that he was enjoying.
On Friday I had another
competition of first aid. Apollo of course went with me. We were quite good
again.
Then it was time to give Apollo back to my teacher and I was a bit sad
because I got used to him. He made my week even more exciting and
interesting. I'll miss him and I hope he will meet a lot of new friends on his
trip :)

APOLLO'S VISIT TO THE ENGLISH MUSICAL AT THE SECOND HIGH SCHOOL
IN MARIBOR
On the 22nd March we went to the Second high school in Maribor. We took as a companion a Greek mascot Apollo. We saw a musical called »The Jungle Boy«. It was amazing! The actors were very good, they were singing about the boy who was lost in the jungle and the animals found him. He grew up with them. He found many friends and he also had a lot of enemies. Two of them were a tiger and a snake. They wanted to kill him because they thought that he was dangerous for the animal kingdom. He went to the human village. He saw a girl and they met each other and he fell in love with her. But they had one problem. The father of the girl has already chosen her fiance. But at the end everyone was happy because love always wins and the tiger and the snake got the punishment .
At the end of the show we got autographs and a picture with the actors. We enjoyed it and we think Apollo had a great time too.
The presentation of the semminary works
Last week I accompanied the students as a mascot. They presented their semminary works. And they were very good, they made it to the national competition.
STUDENTS MAKING MATHEMATICAL GAMES
Hello Greece!
Look at me! I was very
buisy last week. I visited the workshop where I helped children making games.
The students from year
7 made some mathematical board games on Thursday, 27 March.
The theme for the
games were basic numerical operations. The games were made for the needs of the
project Comenius and will be travelling to Romania in May.
Children from
different countries will play with these games.
